We have also included some optional resources for easing children to be aware and familiar with wearing face masks/coverings.
As always, we are happy to answer any questions and will keep you informed of any changes or updates regarding NJ State guidance and protocols as we receive them. Thank you for your understanding and continued loyalty. We are all SO excited to re-open and look forward to seeing you soon!

The State of NJ Division of Consumer Affairs (DCA) has released full guidelines that NJ salons must abide by. One of the guidelines requires that all persons aged 2 years or older wear a face mask or face covering at all times while in the salon. We understand that this may be of concern for parents of younger children and will do our best to help ease this transition.
If you haven't already done so, we suggest talking to your children to help ease them so they are aware and comfortable wearing face masks. We suggest these steps provided by kidshealth.org.
Help kids get used to masks by practicing wearing them (use child-sized masks when possible)
Disposable child size masks will be available for sale at the salon, at cost ($1.00)
Practice by putting a mask on their favorite doll or stuffed animal
Help kids decorate their masks so it can feel fun and personalized
Take the time to explain why wearing a mask is important and necessary
Remind them that they are not alone and we are all wearing masks
An additional resource that may be helpful is the free digital book, Seeing Other People Wearing Masks, by Tara Tuchel, which can be accessed by clicking the photo below or here. We have included below two videos from Youtube that help explain to children why we wear masks.
